Character spec:
restoration as main spec
17/54 is currently what i use. its more or less because i always try to see what works better. this spec doesn't have the imp healing focus, due to us usually having a paladin who uses concentration aura and i hardly notice any pushbacks. but naturally i change spec whenever it is needed in a fight.

Which glyphs are you using, and why:
atm i am using glyph of manatide, glyph of earthshield and glyph of chain heal as my main glyphs.
the manatide glyph is an awkward one to have for a shaman these days, but i feel that i need it. my current gear is pretty tight for a fight. the haste makes me able to cast lots of heals, but the downside is.. lesser and lesser mana the longer a fight takes. so i took the mana tide glyph to give me and usually my fellow healers in the group 3-4% extra mana per 5 min. so sometimes i can give back 8% mana when i can use the tide twice. so thats the awkward glyph.
the earthshield glyph i feel is mandatory for a resto shaman. Its free heals. and 20% usually is 1-2k more heals per proc. life saving one.

the chain heal is mandatory too. 1 more target that gets the heal = 1 less repair bill... don't ya just love shamans.

Why do you feel those professions best suit your character and/or playstyle:
the leatherworking gives a few nice enchants: bracers e.g. get 75 spellpower.
blacksmitting gives extra socket bonusses, which you can use to gem for e.g. meta requirements if needed. it also makes e.g. my bracers pretty rocksolid as a major part of my gear.


What is your secondary spec and why did you choose it:
elemental as offspec
I used to be enhancement shaman, because as usuall there isn't any enhancement shamans around and i figured elemental shamanism doesn;t need any skills and i like to see the mobs from nearby. especially horde
but for icc10 the pugs i did needed usually a caster for saurfang, so hence a resto shaman going elemental usually was the choice. so i gathered elemental gear for it and actually kinda begin to like it. healing a hc in elemental gear e.g is pretty fun. i used to do it in enhance gear too, but that was sometimes tricky with a bit less mana as base stat.

Have you ever rerolled and if so why did you reroll:
i started a week before tbc came out, then i started a holy paladin. so when it hit 70 i raided kz with it. the guild needed a shaman so i opted to reroll as shaman, which they appreciated. after that hit 70 raided alot with it. sadly guildcouncil left the game for over a month and the guild sadly died. it was a happy time for me, because i was able to move to a better guild with more capable players. after a while i got asked to join a guild with a few friends, where they needed a lock with full fire res gear to tank leotheras. i was the man for it, because my lock has that gear (still have it ). so i was asked to change to lock for mains. so yes, SSC was my switch to lock.
after SSC that guild disbanded.. so i turned to my shaman again and transferred out to a different realm. and since then i enjoy playing my shaman as a raider.

your in luck, i used to log the raids i was in because i felt that i needed to see how i performed and if we wiped what the cause of the wipe was. so i also notice if e.g. a healer is oomish so i can use the tide faster.

this weeks 25 man icc.. we came till saurfang, then wipe 1 and disbanded the raid.. so yes, still no achievement.. pugs are horrible on talnivarr sadly

Do you have any offspec experience and do you have gear for it:
i changed spec a few times during raids to elemental. i got 4x the wellfare t9 items for it. so usually i just change into those. and naturally also the wellfare epics accessories like the hit trinket.

Reason(s) for leaving previous guild(s):
mostly the reasons were: disbanded/casual going of the guild
only loyalty (which was my first guild) i left because one officer was being a big tard.

fallen legion i left because for wotlk i wanted to reroll into prot paladin because in my opinion the guild needed one. so after a few talks with the gm he wasn't convinced i was trully up for the task. so after the 3.0 nerf of sunwell i transferred out the shaman to show him i was really going for the paladin. he booted me out of the guild then. so it was kinda awkward. that was when i joined decimation.


What was your attendance in your previous guild:
in decimation i was allowed to be there as casual, due to me changing jobs far away from my home. so that meant alot of travelling per day. so nowadays i usually log in around 19.30 ish. the guild usually started raiding at 19.15, so i was late for it. but on bosses i sometimes got switched in when they lacked healing. so yes, casual. before that my attendance was among the top. sometimes i had a meeting in the evening, so i couldnt come, but i always reported that in advance.

Reasons why you would like to join:
raid times mostly, and naturally to support your raids. i love playing resto shaman, and i feel i can actually contribute to the raid.

What sets you aside from other applicants:
the awareness / flexibility. i think i see alot of things. i got an above average intelligence: iq of 135+ last time measured on the university i was attending.
and am pretty mature: 31 yrs old, so i enjoy the game as it is, but i dont like the bs of some kiddies thinking they are elitists (aka numen guild on talnivarr atm).

What sort of connection are you on and how stable is it:
adsl2+ 12mbit connection from speedxs. usually its quite stable actually, even though you never know when your isp is fucking things up. but i haven;'t noticed any problems except when the whole server lags.. then yes..i lag too
usually my lag is around 50ms-100ms max.


Ventrilo: Please confirm you are able to use Ventrilo and have a microphone for speaking.
i indeed have access to ventrilo.. mostly 3.0+. sadly as talked to one of your officers i don;t like the use of a microphone, so i disabled it and i won't be activating it. its in the way when playing and swearing etc or loud music isn't something you want to hear.

i cleared ulduar first week as server first. no algalon sadly, still want to do that one. naxx / malygos as server first too (got the title for it.. people always whisper me how to get magic seeker)


Your primary play times, will you make all our raids: Be realistic here. Exaggerating for the sake of the application with "I can play 12 hours per day" does not help us evaluate how often you would actually be available.
usually i log in at around 19.30 every day and play till 23.00-24.00. during my hollidays i can even stay up till 3 am.. i got too much energy


Do you have any upcoming events (like a holiday) that would interrupt your trial period:
15th of march i need to give a big presentation at a conference, so prob will be late then. but for the upcomming few months no holiday planned.

i am a parttime biology/chemistry/physics teacher at a private school. (my hobby job).
my main job though is making the dutch national biology exam. for this work i still have to move to the other side of the netherlands.
i studied biomedical sciences at leiden university, so questions regarding vaccinations etc you can ask me. i wont do your homework though, although i expect people in here to have already finished that part.
